Freescale Technology Forum Americas 2014 Opens Today in Dallas

DALLAS--()--Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE: FSL) kicks off the Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) Americas 2014 today at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. More than 2,000 designers, applications engineers, industry experts, executives and ecosystem partners will participate in four days of in-depth training, hands-on workshops and demonstrations. FTF will allow participants to explore the future of embedded design and engage in opportunities to learn, share and connect.

This year’s Freescale Technology Forum features over 250 demos in a state-of-the-art technology lab, supplemented with learning opportunities culminating in over 400 hours of training in key areas including automotive, consumer, healthcare, industrial, networking, smart energy and software and design services. The conference experience will be enriched with the ability to collaborate in real time with Freescale technical staff, partners and industry thought leaders.

Keynote presentations at FTF Americas 2014
  • Wednesday, April 9 – Gregg Lowe, Freescale president and chief executive officer, will present the opening keynote address, focused on Freescale’s vision for a world of connected intelligence where big data, security and cloud computing meet.
  • Thursday, April 10 –Join Freescale’s executive leadership team as they bring the Internet of Things to life, and discuss the vast array of devices enabled by Freescale microcontrollers and the network that connects it all together.
  • Friday, April 11 - American inventor, creator of the Segway human transporter and advocate for science and technology, Dean Kamen is scheduled to close the event. He will discuss how he uses innovation and technology to solve the world’s most challenging problems while inspiring generations of innovators through STEM competitions.
